Last year, we barely had any snow, but in 2010 our street looked like this: My kids LOVE to play in the snow, but I really hate to spend a lot of money on snow gear, because we just never know what kind of winter weather we’ll get here in the center of the state. It’s never consistent. Luck is definitely what I found!

My (almost) Square Foot Garden

I converted to a square foot garden in 2010 and it really changed the way that I garden. I couldn't find my masking tape that I use to grid the box and I was not about to run to the store for masking tape. The weather this past weekend was gorgeous, so I took advantage of it and finally planted my vegetable and herb garden.

And that pesky Target now offers 5% off when you use their Target Visa card on purchases at their store. We actually spent less on clothing in 2010 than 2009, but after looking in our closets, I just can't think of anything that we truly need. The check that I write at the end of every month to pay off the credit card is not so nice.

This past November in 2010, I was in the bakery at Wegmans looking for a good loaf of bread for a special dinner for my husband's birthday.
