Christmas 2012: USO Holiday Boxes & Military Christmas Package Deadlines

The USO has a Holiday Gift Box program -- (that's good year round and allows you to donate items or money to support the troops)

HERE'S THEIR DESCRIPTION:

The newest USO program bundles fun items that help service men and women celebrate holidays and occasions in even the most remote locations. Decorations to brighten encampments in the spirit of the specific season are just the start to a package that truly gives soldiers a sense of home. Each box also has edible treats, banners, greeting cards and a connection home like a video camera and DVDs to send messages home.

Here are some suggestions to send the troops overseas -

Winter Box

-Snowflake decorations and holiday lights
-Seasonal greeting cards
-Holiday CDs and DVDs
-Popcorn and other holiday treats and candy
-Hand and feet warmers
-Holiday-scented air freshener
-New Year’s decorations

There only a few weeks left to mail those packages or cards and be sure they'll arrive before Christmas, according to the U.S. Postal Service and the Military Postal Service Agency. The deadlines are featured in the chart below:
