Morris suggests carrying along gallon Ziploc bags instead. Simply fill the bags with sand and place on the corners of your blanket.
You're essentially creating mini-sandbags that keep your beach blanket or towel in place.
Once you're done, dump out the sand, rinse and store with your beach items.
