The kids and I made Christmas Ornaments last night using canning lids and old Christmas cards.

It's super simple.

What you'll need:

Canning lids and the ring

Old Christmas cards

Embellishments

Glue (hot glue or e-6000 glue will work best, you could use super glue too)

Ribbon or strings

Scissors

Pen or pencil

Paint is optional

Directions:

Use the inner lid to draw a circle around the portion of the card you want to feature.

Glue it onto the lid.

Decorate it with glitter, paints or stickers (embellishments)

Tie a string or ribbon around the outer ring before you insert the lid.

Hot glue the inner lid inside the ring to create a frame.

Other ideas --

You could use pictures, wrapping paper or material as other options to make these special or even a set.

The good thing you can write name and date on the back of the lid in a permanent marker.
