Bargain Mom Tutorial: How to make crayon drip glass ornaments (video)

crayon drip ornaments.jpg

Last night the kids and I made crayon drop glass ornaments.

It's super easy.

Items you'll need:

Glass ball ornaments, I found them at Michael's in a 6 pack for $4.99 (that's the sale price)

Old crayons.

A lighter

Directions:

Remove the hook at the top

Place the ball on a plate or card board and stand it up

Then peel the crayon.

Hold the crayon over the ornament and use the lighter to melt the tip.

Drops will fall on the ornament.

If you're doing this with the kids I suggest you do the lighter and let them hold the crayon.

Do not turn the crayon up once you're done melting it.  There will be some residual hot wax and it will drip on your hand.

Let it dry overnight and replace the hanger.  Then wrap and present as a gift!

SEE THE VIDEO DEMO BELOW -- thanks to my daughter for filming it!
