No Year’s Resolution
I know this seems strange considering that I am currently holding a 2009 Financial Resolutions Blog Contest , but I don’t do new year’s resolutions anymore. For example, if you read my No-Budget System post, you will see how extreme I can be when it comes to dieting. Now, when it comes to resolutions, I follow in the fashion of our No-Budget System and not set specific limits or achievements, Sure I still make general decisions/goals/plans/etc. for my life, but I no longer pin them down to specific years.

Free Budget Templates & Sites
These are the best free budget templates around - mostly from fellow personal finance bloggers! How awesome is that? ;) I have to put mine at the top, of course, but ANY of these have the potential of working well nicely! Remember, none of these budgets are perfect, but you can tweak & edit and use the one that's the most perfect for YOU. So Holler if you find any other good ones and I'll add them in! *All All images & links go to excel spreadsheets unless noted otherwise Budgets Are Sexy: Financial Snapshot & Budget | (google doc) Enemy Of Debt: E.O.D

Growing food instead of grass: recession garden
Earthfirst is a fun blog about environmental news, including urban gardening (not the radical environmental group).
Tags: Groceries food Budgeting budget Hom I went to a friend’s house this weekend and she proudly showed me her new urban garden. Actually, it was just a pile of dirt bordered by wood, but she has plans to grow lettuce, herbs, and tomatoes.

Budget Friendly Recipe Sources for Frugal Families
Budget friendly recipe sources have actually become way easier to find these days. The family-friendly budget category is its own thing and within this area it can sometimes be hard to easily find what I need from general cookbooks and “foodie” sites. Here are some of my favorite resources for creating family meals on a budget. More bloggers are writing about the food they make. Major food product manufacturers creating destinations for consumers.

Do you need a "story" to be respected as a Blogger?
What occurred to me though, was that I'm the Asher of personal finance blogging ;) Not in that I've made it big or anything, or because I wish I could rap (which I do), but more in that I don't have a main story to back me up. I do, however, have plenty of experience in saving money and budgeting as you can see from any of my net worth updates . In particularly, a Personal Finance Blogger? I recently came across an interesting headline: "Asher Roth went to rap because of what he listened to, not what he lived.

Disney on a Budget - Intro
We don't really have a budget category for vacations, so we use "extra" money we earn, for our vacations. This "extra" money comes from many different sources: Ebay sales Bonus my husband gets from work Money I earn from my blog Misc. The last 2 years our family has taken a trip to Disneyland, and this year we are planning a trip to Disney World (keeping our fingers crossed that it all works out!) The last time I posted about our Disney trip I got several people asking for some money saving tips on a vacation to the Disney Parks. I figured since I am planning

Giveaways Can Help You Stretch Your Budget
There are so many things I do to stretch my budget. One thing I've recently taken an interest in is blog giveaways. These bloggers are giving away thousands of great prizes - both big and small - on their blogs every day.
Most Most blog giveaways have only have a few easy requirements, such as commenting on a post or filling out a form. I might use a few Swagbucks to buy a gift, fill out surveys to earn some extra cash, or watch a few videos to bring in some money.
