Our kids aren’t being inundated with commercials, I’ve forgotten about BRAVO TV, and my husband is surviving the football season without ESPN. I was a little nervous about a possible revolt from my kids and husband, but instead, none of us miss cable TV.

While I sheepishly admit that I may have had a slight addiction to the reality shows on Bravo TV, I also realized that I was spending too much time watching grown women cat fight in their Manolo Blahniks--that they clearly can't afford. And I definitely don't want to spend an additional $1200 a year to watch that train wreck.

I said good-bye to the real housewives of Bravo TV and my husband said adios to ESPN. A year ago, my family gave up our beloved cable TV. When our bill spiked up unexpectedly last March, we called the cable company hoping for some relief.
