Fantabulously Frugal Friday: Live Solid
While this site is certainly all about shopping, I hope that in a small way it is also about being budget-conscious, which is where Live Solid fits into the equation.
At LiveSolid.com you’ll find sections devoted to eco-friendly weddings, planning a vacation, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and many other important topics. I’ve known about Live Solid for quite a while now, and I’m sorry I haven’t mentioned the Live Solid initiative on this site before now. The Live Solid movement was started by Sun Trust Bank last year.

Most non-fixed expenses are hard to predict, and thus are hard to budget for.
We all know budgeting is smart. You pull out your bills and receipts from the past month and add up what you spent. That number indicates how much you will spend this month, right?

Weddings Galore!
This next month (and this week) features an additional weekly post on ways to save on wedding expenses. I was married not too long ago, in August it will be 3 years. grew up with very "frugal" or "thrifty" parents, and since weddings are no friend to anyone's wallet (except maybe the bride and groom if its very traditional) we were stuck with finding ways to cut back on wedding expenses. There Its getting to be that time of the year...June June (and the rest of the summer for that matter), the most common month to be getting hitched.

Look Like a Million Bucks on a Budget
Say, for example, you have four weddings this fall. For wedding one , top it with a bright-violet shrug ($20). Wedding two , steal a tip from the September issue of Glamour: Buy a couple yards of wide satin ribbon (around $5 at a crafts store; I'd love an ultra-bright yellow with the gray dress) and cut the ends at an angle to prevent fraying. Wedding four: Let's top the dress with a This is a guest post from Kim Fusaro . It's geared toward women, but the principles still apply to us men!
