Most people think clothes when they think about what a thrift shop sells, but these shops often sell a number of other things that people can use in their day to day lives. Larger thrift stores like the Salvation Army and Goodwill, often have a little bit of everything in their stores. Only 2 days left.

Before you can even start to think about how you would go about greening your wardrobe, you need to know where you stand, clothes wise, right now at this moment. You probably will find clothes that you had forgotten you even had; I certainly did! You’ll need to be able to sort clothing into piles according to what you find.

Buy Store Brands. Used Doesn’t Mean Abused.

I got brand new clothes , a stroller, a playpen, toys, blankets, the list goes on and on. Many of the other items I needed like cloth diapers and clothes for the baby in bigger sizes I bought from garage sales. Garlick got all of her children’s clothes and gear from friends, family, and sites like Freecycle.

The icing on the cake was when I was leaving Maine on my way home to Boston, I stopped at this awesome thrift store right before I got to the highway in York. Unfortunately, I didn't find to much clothing in my size (these are the times I wish I knew how to tailor clothes.oh well), but i did find some great accessories.
