Thrift : I regularly stop by my favorite local thrift store and find crazy bargains. All of which I regularly find at the thrift store. It saves us $67 a month. Crew, Gap, and Limited.

If you are in more of a hurry, find a thrift store instead. Expect to pay a bit more in a thrift store, but if it is run by a charitable organization, you can feel good about paying a few bucks more because you are helping out the cause. Just bare twigs in a large vase, with old ornaments tied to them can be pretty as well. We live on the edge of the prairie and prairie grasses grow well here. Thrift stores are also a great place to shop. A simple lettuce salad with an special dressing, or perhaps a squash soup could suffice for the first course.

My favorite thrift store has a section dedicated to seasonal items. The number and variety of Halloween items in this thrift store surprised me. A couple of days ago on one of my visits, I noticed 2 entire clothing racks filled with Halloween costumes and/or clothing items.

I believe that your opportunity cost would be too great as well. Today it is much less expensive to buy your clothes, even if you buy brand new and certainly if you shop some of the chic re-sale shops or even the thrift stores. Of course you will also have ongoing costs such as thread, patterns and material as well.

Of course, we took photos!~ And here are my personal shots from yesterday… I love this dress, but have worn it all of twice, I think, because the sleeves are gorgeous but they don’t mix well with sweaters, and you never know when you might need one in Dallas, with all that overzealous AC!~ We met for dinner and had a great time.

There are exceptions of course, and the band playing Saturday was one I actually enjoy, so I was pretty disappointed when I ended up not feeling well and having to go home after dinner while Nathan and everyone else went out.
