Price $20
Use the $5 off coupon code mamasnofool
$15 + $6 standard shipping so total out of pocket is $21.
The host states in the video these are the hit of baby showers.
I would beg to differ and here's why this product qualifies for the Dumb Product of the Day award
?
1. It's absurd that this kit is magical for the price of $21 or $26 without the code.
At the highest price point you're paying $26 that's $2.63 per item.
Would you pay $2.63 for 1 Band-Aid? I certainly hope not.
2. The absurdity of this product is playing to the uncertainty of new parents or the friends of new parents who don't know what to buy as a shower gift.
Here's a tip: All of the things are valuable indeed, however once you've used the disposable items what do you do?
Now you'll need to replace the items.
3. How you can recreate this yourself:
Zipper pouches are $1
You probably have Band-aids around your house but if not use a coupon and get a whole box for less than $2.63
Crayons are $1 for 24 pack at the Dollar Tree
Notepads -- you probably have plenty of those
Notecards with games? Really -- you can google and print car trip imagination games
10 pack of wipes is $1 or 97 cents at Walmart
Hand Sanitizer small bottles are $1 or less
Now for the disposables -
Bibs, placemats, diaper changing pads and toilet seat covers will cost $3 to $5 for a pack of 10 to 24 depending on where you shop.
Yes you may spend more than $26 but you'll have way more to restock the $1 pouch once you've actually used the items.
