Now onto the zip code changing issues.
A number of couponers, coupon blogs and forums share zip codes to find certain coupons on Coupons.com and other printable sites.
While some consider it a questionable practice others don't mind playing the zip code game.
I spoke with Coupons.com representatives earlier this year and posed the question to them, 'Is it ok to change my zip code to find different coupons?' their response was that they know it goes on and there are no rules preventing it.
That brings me to this, a statement on their blog post about their new site design:
Now there’s no need to enter your zip code on the home page to see available offers in your area. We do it for you. You can still change your zip code on the Account Setting page or on the Local tab for local offers only."
This is an indirect way to put a stop to zip code game playing.
You can change your zip code for local offers only, considering your server zip code may be different from your actual zip code.
If the hot coupon everyone is blogging about can't be found in your zip code search results, coupons.com is basically saying, sorry - maybe next time.
