Easter 2012: How to Make a Semi-Edible Bunny Crisp, Flower Arrangement

bargain mom easter bunny crisp decor.jpgYou can make this arrangement in 15 minutes or less.

If you need an idea for a fun, but cheap flower arrangement for either the kids table or sweets table here's an idea I created that will be super easy for you to recreate as well.

Plus as always it was low cost.

What you'll need:

1.  Formula or coffee cans --- these are my go to containers for alot of my crafts.  (See it

,

and

)

2. Bulletin board border purchased at a teacher supply store. A huge roll is only $3. {You could substitute something else if you need too}

3.  Flowers -- I used the multi-colored (obviously dyed) daisy bouquet for $3 to $5

4.  Styrofoam cup or a secondary vase to slip inside the can.

5.  6 Bunny Crisp medium chocolate foil wrapped bunnies (3 for $1) at most stores

6.  Packaging tape.

Directions:

1.  Clean the can - do not place in the dishwasher it will rus

2.  Dry.

3.  Fill the cup or vase with water and cut your flowers down proportionally to the size can you are using.  Place aside.

4.  Wrap the can in the bulletin board boarder or alternative covering and secure with the packaging tape -- I use packaging tape  because it's sturdy.

5.  To prevent transporting the bunnies on the outside of the container I would place the container on the table you know you want it to sit on, then attach the bunnies using double stick tape or the packaging tape.   Roll it and attach it to the back.  If you place them towards the bottom of the can, kinda sitting on the table, you'll have more support.

It took 6 bunnies spaced evenly to cover the entire can.

6.  This will make the bunnies easy to remove if you are using it as favors.    NOTE -- the packaging tape does not rip the boarder so there won't be any unsightly rip marks.

7.  Insert flowers into the can.

Other options:

1.  You could wrap the top of the can with a decorative ribbon.

2.  You could get the mini bunny crisps and skewer them and have them strategically poking out of the bouquet.

3.  You can use basket wrapp as an added filler if you're low on greenery. -- like my picture.

If you think this is cute, please
