What you will get is a gift card to buy a gift certificate on Restaurant.com. And most of the gift certificates they sell for $10 are actually worth $25 towards the restaurant, so this is a fabulous freebie!
These are great to get for birthday dinners, date nights, and even gifts (think Christmas gifts)! If you’ve never purchased from Restaurant.com before, there are a few things you need to know:
1. Read the terms. Many require you spend a certain amount in order to use the gift certificate (for example, to use your $25 certificate you might be required to spend $35) and will automatically add gratuity to your bill prior to discount. There is usually a limit of one certificate per visit.
2. Choose the restaurant carefully. I recommend you go with restaurants you are familiar with and you know you like the food there. On the other hand, this could be a great way to try a new restaurant without having to spend a lot of money.
3. Tip on the full amount. If your certificate does not automatically add gratuity, please tip on the full amount of the meal (not the discounted price).
