The Frugal Girl

Sunday I remember that Zoe ate a frozen French bread pizza. So that’s when I switched to the French bread pizza for Zoe. But I cannot for the life of me remember what I ate. Usually I snap a photo of what I eat, but I’ve got nothin! To back up: Zoe wasn’t feeling well, so I offered to bake a frozen pizza for her.

WIS, WWA | largely from the freezer

The Frugal Girl

Sunday I found a few slices of bread in the freezer, so Zoe had some French toast plus the rest of the bacon, and I had some whole-wheat blueberry pancakes. I’ve done some freezer scrounging to come up with things to eat, so…yay for using up what’s on hand. squirrel-watching I spent: $ 6.99

Five Frugal Things | with two sandwiches

The Frugal Girl

I made a use-it-up sandwich I sauteed the last of a purple onion, sliced up the end of the French bread I’d made, added shredded cheese and the last of the Christmas ham (from the freezer, obviously) and made a lunch sandwich for myself. browned in a cast iron pan, weighed down by a second cast-iron pan) So good!

Thursday Not of much note: French toast. Wednesday I had to meet my small group to film our video for our class at 6:00 pm, so I ate an early meal that was a repeat of Sunday (sweet potato, avocado, and egg) and Zoe had ramen again while I was gone. Of note: I spread cinnamon butter on mine, and that was so good! 10/10, would recommend.

The Frugal Girl

I froze one pan for future use, and I used the second pan to make a quarter batch of the Pioneer Woman’s baked French toast. I’ll defrost the other pan of cubes in the future to make a second pan of baked French toast for Zoe and me. I’m definitely in my downsize-the-recipes phase of life!

The Frugal Girl

The other night, I found a few slices of bread in the freezer, and two slices of bacon, so Zoe had French toast and bacon. I made a use-it-up dinner I haven’t done a proper grocery shop since I got home from Hawaii, so I have been scrounging a bit. Remember when I was somewhere not-cold?
