Frugal Parenting: Homemade Water Experiment Fun (No to Low Cost)

Last weekend I made a water 'experimental' station for my kids.

It was simple really.

I had two old shelves turned it on it's side and attached an assortment of bottles, pipes and more using rubber bands, ribbon and clamps.

It was a hit and it became a lesson in team work for my older two children.

The spouts were linked to eventually drain into a tub at the bottom of the stand.

My 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son maneuvered the water into different containers outside of my original (flexible) design.

I'm not kidding they played peacefully together for a solid hour.  (That's unheard of in my house.)

What I used:

Water bottles

2 liter bottles (cut in half)

Cans

PVC pipe

Bottle tops

and more.
