Grocery Spending/Menu Plan | 3.13
First up, here’s my meat purchases for the week…pepperoni for pizza, and an all-natural chicken ($1.49/pound, which isn’t too bad for really good chicken).
The red gallon of milk is for yogurt, and the other is for cereal and for cooking purposes.
This is my produce (the leafy stuff in back is a bunch of radishes, which my kids are newly fond of).
And I took multiple photos again, since several of you said that was helpful.
Here’s my refrigerated stuff, which is all from Aldi.

Grocery Spending/Menu Plan | Plastic vs. Cloth Edition
Both when I posted this photo in September (while we were on vacation) and when I used it as an illustration for my Walmart post, several people have been vaguely horrified at the pile of plastic bags in the back of my van.
So, to make you feel better, here is a picture of what the back of my van usually looks like after a grocery shopping trip.
See? I really do think reusable bags are the way to go (yay for reducing plastic consumption!).

Grocery Spending and Menu Plan | The Birthday Shopping Trip
Fortunately, she doesn’t mind grocery shopping, so she wasn’t at all upset about this turn of events.
8230;and then we headed out to go shopping. It was $1, and we decided that it should belong to Zoe, since it was her birthday.
At Aldi, I spent $45.73 As it happened, our weekly shopping trip landed on Zoe’s birthday. We made a birthday cake first…

Grocery Spending and Menu
If you recall from last week’s grocery report , I was a bit over budget. at Aldi and $32.72 And in November, I am determined not to get behind right away like I did this month.
Breakfast -I’m going to try hard to avoid cereal for the most part for the kids and myself (my husband leaves really early for work and usually just has time for a bowl of cereal.). Ahem. So much so that I figured I needed to average about $84 for the next three shopping trips in order to stay on budget.

Grocery Spending and Menu Plan
Last week, I didn’t post about my grocery spending because I hadn’t gone yet (and because I wanted to share about my Living Water donation plan ). So, here’s my spending totals for the last two weeks:
had $200 to spend over the last two weeks, and I only spent $145.77 of that. Instead, I made a quick trip on Monday just to get us through until the next regular shopping day. Local Store- $6.28

Grocery Spending/Menu Plan (with multiple photographers!)
I had a little help this week with the job of photographing the groceries.
And so she did.
Oh, and I did remember to actually take a picture of the groceries. spent $33.25 at Weis, and $57.96 at Aldi, for a total of $91.21 , almost $8 under budget.
Lisey has a real camera, while Sonia has a toy one.
Zoe prefers to shoot using a pair of binoculars (backwards). “Mommy, is dis a camra?”,

Grocery Spending and Menu Plan|Christmas Week Edition
I spent $66.96 at Aldi and $26.11 at Weis, which means I spent $93.07 know I bought several boxes of cereal last week, but this week miniwheats were on sale 4 for $6 and I had $2 in coupons, which means I got four boxes for $4. I hate to pass up a deal like that, and since cereal keeps just fine, I got four boxes. total . Considering that this shopping trip included a fair amount of Christmas candy purchasing, I’m really happy with that (the Christmas candy is not shown in the photo, naturally!).

Grocery Spending and Menu Plan | Warm Day Edition
The groceries are a little lacking in stuffed animals this week.
and my kids were out enjoying the weather instead of putting stuffed animals on the groceries.
Sonia was out there too, of course (and she does still have hands. She was just busy chucking bouncy balls out into the That’s because it was a lovely, warm day when we went shopping (50 degrees!), Of course, Zoe had a sea creature with her.

Menu Plan and Grocery Spending (week 2 of cash only)
My husband had a day off on Thursday, and we all went shopping together.
Dark chocolate covered marshmallow pumpkins were on post-Halloween clearance, and my husband insisted that I buy some (I’m easily persuaded when it comes to marshmallow confections!).
At Aldi, we spent $65.93 , and at Weis, we spent $37.92 . This week, I did actually manage to go shopping on Thursday, instead of putting it off until I absolutely couldn’t go not go anymore (like I did the last two weeks!). Did you see something in there, behind the ham?

Grocery Spending and Menu-June 20th
First, the pictures and spending report.
And here’s everything else.
shopped at Aldi first, as I always do, and I spent $57.81 there. Had I not bought the PA chicken (which is all natural and fairly local) and the ice cream (which I’m going to use in a future blog post), I would have been ok. Here’s my produce.

We’re visiting my in-laws, and I think I am contributing French bread to the meal.
All four of them managed to make it into one of the pictures I took.
Some hamsters also made their way into the picture this week.

Grocery Flour Shopping and Menu Plan
The Frugal Girl Family does not live on flour alone, though, so I did buy a few other things.
Between a sale and some coupons, I got these six boxes of cereal for $6, and much to my surprise, at checkout I got a coupon for $5 off my next purchase(it was a Post promotion I didn’t know about). considering that Shoppers is in the shopping center next to Goodwill and Aldi!).
Yeah…flour made up a great proportion of what I bought this week. This cereal is from Shoppers…I hardly ever go there, but they had a rockin’ sale on Post cereal
