Wherever we go, we try to visit botanical gardens and parks. I enjoyed Longwood Gardens more than any other, but I loved Kew Gardens as much as I loved the Botanical Building in San Diego's Balboa Park. If you're willing to go further away, there are infinite possibilities. Every one is so different and I love it.

Take a tour down the street at the birth home of MLK, Jr. It sits on the former Gadsen's Wharf, where almost half of enslaved people entered this country, and has been turned into a memorial garden. Charleston, South Carolina - Once America's largest slave port now is an exciting city with tons of history.

If you haven't planned anything yet, it's okay, there's still time to get the most coveted reservation, the one at home with your sweetie. I wrapped our TV stand with a rose garden backdrop , because we watched a few videos of a Seine cruise. Valentine's Day is already next week. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day, if you celebrate.

In February, we'll be attending a tea tasting and lantern viewing for Lunar New Year at our Chinese Garden. A local(ish) artist opened up her home on the 1st and gave tours of her collection of devil and Krampus pieces. It was pretty great and I hope to continue finding things to do the rest of the year.
