Well, we're back from our vacation visiting my sister and her family, so I should be back to my regular posting schedule. to think about ways to save money on vacation this summer. I plan on writing a 3-part travel series: Deciding which mode of transportation to use on vacation Saving money when traveling by car Saving money on flights As I stated earlier, I chose to drive for 4 days total with my boys to visit my sister. However, I had a long 2-day drive each way (with a 5 and 3 year old!) But, why would I make such a crazy decision?
Keeping the kids entertained is not very easy to do without spending a lot of money. I took my oldest daughter to see her first movie last weekend and for the two of us between tickets and snacks it cost $35!!! With the summer coming and the kids getting bored very easily it's going to take a lot of imagination to keep them entertained without breaking the bank. That's a lot of money for a couple hours of entertainment. I won't do that too often that's for sure.
