There are two dairy coupons appearing on
under zip code 84771.
One is for 75 cents off any brand milk white or chocolate excluding soy.
One is for $1 off any brand cheese 2 pounds or more, made in USA as brick, cube or shred
Fine print for both state This coupon is to be used only on the purchase of dairy products sold in IDAHO and UTAH. One coupon per purchase.
Valid only at participating retailers
There are a number of coupon blogs promoting the use of this coupon in other states even though the terms clearly say not to do that.
So I put the question to the Deanna Sessions, Administrator for the Idaho Dairy Commissions.
She said even though the terms state Idaho and Utah only their clearinghouse for coupon redemption processing was instructed to honor the coupons that come if that are used properly even if they are from other states.
"We've got to keep these dairy farmers in business, or we won't be able to feed the country," Sessions said. "We've got to do something to help these farmers."
The reason for the temporary rule for honoring the coupons in the clearinghouse is because, retailers are not properly reading the redemption terms and accepting the coupons without questions.
The clearinghouse can stop honoring the coupons at any time for those stores outside of Idaho and Utah who do submit them for processing.
So it's an ethical issue you'll need to decide for yourself. Redeem them knowing they may or may not be honored...
