The Jacksonville Methodist Church is having it's first annual ever BBQ/Smoking COMPETITION Saturday the 21st from 11-3 or until all the food runs out. Judges are Mayor Smith, Asst Police Chief Wineman and Asst Fire Chief Roberts. It is a fundraiser for the church's Above and Beyond Campaign. The new patrol cars will be there and fire engines will be there, too. $10 adults, Kids $5 (12 and under) Dine in or take out. Open to everyone in the community!
Meat categories are: ribs, brisket, pork butts and sausage. Choose one or more meat categories, but entries must be grilled or smoked to be judged at the challenge. Meats are to be provided by the entrant, cooked at home and be ready to serve when brought to the church
