The other day I was in LifeWay Christian and picked up this boo

The book is based on the song 'King of the World.'

Price $5 through June 22 -- regular price is $9.99 in paperback.

I purchased it as a gift for my husband from my daughter on Father's Day.

If you were thinking about picking up this book as a gift here are some things to keep in mind:

It is based on the song "King of the World" like I mentioned earlier and it sticks pretty close to the lyrics.

If you're not familiar with the song you may find yourself yearning for some rhyming or rhythm to the writing style.

The flow of the words seems to be problematic in terms of reading it aloud.

HOWEVER -- the message is sweet and endearing.

The chorus if you will does rhyme and is catchy.

"Dance me, Daddy.  Dance me around.  Don't let my feet ever touch down.  There's nothing better than being your girl.  If I am your princess, then you are the king of the world."

Illustrator Philomena O'Neill does a wonderful job of creating meaningful scenes in the book.

Issues included in the book -- marriage and family at the end.  This may be too much for some age groups others not so much.

For $5 this would make a sweet substitute for a Father's Day card.

The opinions in this post are my own.  I purchased the book with my own money and did not receive any compensation for this post.

Here is the song the book is based on:
