Why Freezer Jam Rocks (plus, a Blueberry Jam recipe)
Well, it’s similar to cooked jam, except that instead of being cooked and processed to a shelf-stable state, freezer jam is raw and is simply stored in the freezer. First, process the blueberries in a food process until they’re finely chopped. Tags: Preserving Recipes What is freezer jam? Add the sugar.

Homemade Chai Tea Mix Recipe
I’m still busy experimenting, but the following recipe is what I’ve been using for the moment. I found it on All Recipes , but it’s also on RecipeZaar, and in some other places on the web, so I’m not entirely sure where to give credit! Dump all the ingredients into a large bowl. Mix them together. Much better.

Humble ingredients make a delicious, nutritious, cheap and eco-friendly breakfast
I just love finding new DIY tricks to circumvent the need to buy overly processed, overly packaged foods, and this homemade granola is a perfect example. Easy, Frugal Cooking |Chicken Tacos
poked through Cook’s Illustrated’s website and found nothing (only a steak taco recipe), so I decided to search some other online cooking sites. How can a recipe be both fabulous and disgusting at the same time??). With the machine running, add 1/4 cup vegetable oil and process until the mixture is fairly smooth.

Wednesday Baking-Thin Crust Pizza
This is yet another recipe borrowed from Cook’s Illustrated. I found it in the big baking book they published(I got it for my birthday a few years back), and I’m pretty delighted with the recipe. When I have to be out and about on Friday afternoons, we can still have pizza for dinner if I use this recipe.

Wednesday Baking-How to make Deep-Dish Pizza
The recipe I’m going to share turns out pizzas that are very similar to the deep dish type that you’d get at Pizza Hut. Also, their recipe calls for a large deep dish pan. It’s best to have a pizza stone for this recipe, but if you don’t, never fear…there is a workaround in the recipe.
