I found some red thread in my sewing box. And then I set up my sewing machine. I will say, GenZ is not afraid to thrift, and I love that! Anyway, one of her thrifted red sweatshirts got ripped right by the tag area in the back. Chiquita was interested in the spare bobbin. She got it.

Q&A | cinnamon, SIM, jeans, and grocery spending

I was planning to cut a patch from a ripped pair of no longer worn jeans and then hand sew it from the inside out. I don’t know how to use a sewing machine so hand sewing it is. I’m wondering, though, about using an iron on patch instead and still sew a whip stitch all around it. Your thoughts?

Five Frugal Things | So, my tire had a hole

So, I got out my sewing machine and did a quick repair for her. I sewed a tiny bit of scrap denim on the underside, and then did some stitching to hold it in place. I fixed Zoe’s skirt She’d thrifted this long skirt (so 90s!) but the first time she wore it, it split by the slit.
