Capes and cloaks
Capes and cloaks are great accessories to add to Halloween costumes and work well with a variety of costumes. Capes can be used for a vampire costume, Little Red Riding Hood costume, and even a witch costume. Cloaks are wonderful for medieval costumes and are a wonderful accessory to add to more adult costumes that might be a bit skimpy. Hooded capes and cloaks are also ideal as they help keep the head warm. Just make sure they are pulled back enough so that children can easily see where they are going.
Tights
Tights are a great way to add interest to Halloween costumes. They come in a variety of different colors and patterns, which means you can add them to almost any costume. For example, spider web tights would look awesome with a witch’s costume, while brightly colored tights add a pop of color to kids’ Halloween costumes. Best of all, tights are fairly inexpensive. You can even purchase white tights and dye them to match your costume. A quick tie-dye treatment would look awesome with a hippie costume, while stripped tights are perfect for the Wicked Witch from the Wizard of Oz.
