Make paper snowflakes for Sandy Hook Elementary students (Project 25 Day 20)

snowflakes for sandy hook.jpg

Sandy Hook Elementary School student will return to school Jan. 13 in a new building in the wake of the school shooting Dec. 14 in Connecticut.

They have requested snowflakes made from paper, coffee filters, cupcake liners etc. to be shipped to:

Connecticut PTSA

60 Connolly Parkway, Building 12, Suite 103

Hamden, CT 06514.

This fits perfectly with my family's Project 25, lesson giving approach to the holidays.

So tonight we made 40 snowflakes using coffee filters and snow flake themed paper.

We also embellished with glitter glue.

You can make them however you want, because in real life, no two snowflakes are alike.

Here's what the PTSA wrote:

Snowflakes for Sandy Hook

Please help the students of Sandy Hook have a winter wonderland at their new school! Get Creative!!  No two snowflakes are alike. Make and send snowflakes before January 12, 2013.
