The holiday season is captured through a festive and meaningful exhibition that also celebrates the people of the Shoals area: Who they are, what they do and the things and values they treasure. For this annual exhibit, community groups and local individuals create a holiday extravaganza using impressive 12-foot-tall live spruce and fir trees to tell their stories. Employing uncharacteristic techniques and surprising materials, the volunteer decorators produce both traditionally elegant and whimsically unexpected trees for a visual and one-of-a-kind wonderland. The imaginative decorations combined with the smell of fresh evergreen and the museum’s holiday decor have become a part of many family traditions. Admission is $5 adults, $3 students, Sundays free, museum members free and group rates available.
