See highliner Edward Yates walk between Tennessee Aquarium peaks Friday & Saturday

Highliner Edward Yates will rig lines of great heights on the Tennessee Aquarium peaks and then walk across them as a unique feature of RiverRocks 2014 event this Friday and Saturday. Here's what he had to say about the planned stunt: "I have always loved the Tennessee Aquarium and this has been a dream of mine for my life," said Yates. "There has never been an urban highline event like this before. The symmetry of the Aquarium's glass peaks will provide amazing images."

The event is free to watch from surrounding areas.  You don't have to pay to watch.

About highlining:

Similar to tightrope walking, but accessible to anyone, slacklining and highlining are trending outdoor sports. Edward’s performances fit perfectly with the spirit of the RiverRocks Adventure Sports Games. This celebration brings together world-class and amateur athletes together to celebrate Chattanooga’s unsurpassed adventure sports. “Like paddleboarding, climbing, kayaking or skateboarding, slacklining and highlining are sports that are open to anyone at any age,” said Yates. “This is a sport that will challenge you in so many ways making you realize that every single moment is a prime moment and an opportunity to grow and progress.”

Edward will safely execute this stunt in the common style of highlining and will be wearing a safety leash in case of fall.

Yates will cross between the Tennessee Aquarium’s peaks between 5:30 and 6 pm EST on Friday, October 24 and will be repeated on Saturday, October 25th, at 11a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. EST.
