Some people keep their recipes on the computer, but I prefer my binder with its well-used, splattered pages. But I have seen a variety of binders at yard sales and thrift stores for pocket change. It is full of recipes from magazines, friends, and online that I have collected over the years. I find it visually calming.

Our sweet Ruby has assimilated into our family quite well. The girls and I hit my favorite thrift store this week. She’s such an easy dog. She rarely barks, rolls straight to her back for belly rubs every time you approach her, and she immediately knew her bathroom was our back yard, not our living room floor.

Thrifty Finds in February: I try to hit up my favorite thrift store at least once a month. I keep a list of things to look when thrifting. Frugal living is NOT about feeling deprived.

I am having a lot of luck with thrifting this spring. We found summer jammies and shorts at our favorite thrift store a few weeks ago. Even though we are really looking forward to sunny days, the park, the pool and bike rides well into the evening, I am looking ahead to the colder months. You just never know what you might find.
