Details:
Twining and Textiles: Visitors will learn about prehistoric and historic methods of making fabrics and other textiles with expert Catherine Borden Sloan. Until European contact, Native Americans in our area did not use a loom to weave, but twined their fabrics by hand. Even after the loom was introduced, twining was still a popular method used to make bags, sashes, nets and baskets. Children will be able to try twining for themselves! Free with paid park admission.
