Business casual clothing was what it called for – meaning khaki pants and a collared shirt for the guys and the same for the girls unless they choose to wear a dress or skirt/blouse. According to a Nielson study , most of us just get these products from the local grocery or discount store, but even so, their cost adds up. How about you?

My mom cut coupons and sewed her own clothes and mine, as well. In 2007, when the kids were 8 and 13, we recreated that trip – with a travel trailer and bunks instead of a miniscule tent. My dad was a blue-collar worker – a machine operator on the railroad who sometimes got laid off for periods of time in the winter.

I''m always looking for girls clothing, good books, and clean Tupperware. I''ll spend a weekend or two before the sale to go through closets, cupboards and drawers deciphering if this is the year that I don''t need that oval baking dish or that long sleeved blouse I haven''t worn since 2007. We made some money too, about $150.

A recent study by the Pew Research Center found that 25% of parents have one or more of their adult children living back at home with them, while a 2007 Canadian census showed that 44% of adult children between 20 and 29 have moved back in. By doing that, it’s a relationship that will work out quite well for both parties.
