In 2018, we decided to focus on just 2 main financial goals and before I share my 2019 goals I thought I would give you a recap on 2018. We hunkered down and paid our expected medical expenses and by the end of 2018, we were also able to save enough money to cover us for 2019. I almost stopped writing goals down altogether.

The backstory: In November 2019, my van was in need of new tires and I was debating on whether to get the new tires or start looking for a replacement vehicle. My husband drives a 2012 vehicle and in 2019 we got rid of a 2001 Honda Civic, which we bought new during my previous commuter life–pre-kids. year-old van.

Our small business was going well, so we said so long to renting office space and purchased a commercial property in the summer of 2012. Finances after the Pandemic: We went through a rough time back in 2012/2013 and we wrote our Debt Freedom Plan as a result of it. After paying off our last non-mortgage debt in September 2019, we updated our Debt Freedom Plan. We will get through this, but it won’t be unscathed. We’ll get through this crisis.
