Aside from a health concern with one of my daughters , 2017 was a great year, however, I was distracted by non-necessities, so my overall theme for 2018 is to use my time more wisely on the people and things that are important to me. In 2018, we decided to focus on just 2 main financial goals and before I share my 2019 goals I thought I would give you a recap on 2018. Our 2018 Financial Goals: Finish our Will. In March of 2018, we had our wills, medical directives, and powers of attorney completed by an attorney. It’s similar to a deductible.

This should cover my tentative 2019 Christmas budget that I based on what we spent in 2018. In March, I added $70 in $1 bills that I had been setting aside for the past year. Last year, a friend of mine on Facebook shared that she saves $1 bills that have Federal Reserve letters that match the first letter of her kids’ names.

How did you do with your Christmas spending in 2018? But if those gifts were paid with a credit card that doesn’t get paid off as soon as the bill arrives, any savings from store sales, coupons, and/or rebates might be negated from the interest accrued. Now start creating a budget based on what you spent in 2018.
