It took us years to pay it all off, but we achieved it in 2019. I had no problem shopping at a thrift store, avoiding restaurants, and not having cable TV, but I didn’t want to give up camping and watching my daughters’ swim meets. Did you make a goal to pay off debt this year?

When that loan was paid off, we put that full monthly amount towards the third loan and this continued until September 2019 when we made our last non-mortgage loan payment. We methodically worked through our plan and in September 2019 we were treated with the ultimate reward for our hard work– freedom from our non-mortgage debts!

However, 2019 was the first year that I found a word that I could stand by. I adored my word and everything about what I was trying to achieve for 2019. By the end of 2019, I achieved one major bullet point and the others will continue to be a work in progress. ALSO our 2019 Financial Goal!). 4 – Reduce my sweets.

It was Sept 17, 2019 and I have about 1/3 box left. Thrifty Finds in February: I try to hit up my favorite thrift store at least once a month. I have saved so much over the years by looking at thrift stores or yard sales first before trying a regular retail store for our needs.

If nothing changes, this loan will be paid off by end of 2019, but I’d love to move that up and say adios to this loan! If not, we’ll start saving in 2019. While I love thrift stores, I can be easily swayed to run into Target, TJ Maxx, and/or Kohl’s when I feel like I need something. Save for a camper upgrade.

We made one big financial goal for 2019 and are striving and working hard to make progress. Our goal for 2019 is NOT to feel deprived, but rather find creative ways to get through the year without unnecessary spending. It’s March 1, and I declare it Mindful March. 5 – Find Extra Cash.
