Greenblatt maintains a web site Magicformulainvesting.com. When I retired, I used this method to re-invest the proceeds from my company 401K (that I had rolled into an IRA). It caught me by surprise that the stocks/mutual funds in which I invested while in the 401K could not be transferred in kind to my IRA.

However, I haven’t learned this lesson too well, as I still have the second plan, which is a 401K. My plan for after retirement was always to get into something new – a franchise, the storage unit business, or residential real estate, and in addition, to develop a web site to help people deal with wealth.
