Terrific Tech: Red Pocket

While so many consumers have already “cut the cord” when it comes to oppressive cable service providers, only those in the know have been convinced to do the same with their cell phones. People hate the pricey contracts and lousy customer service that the big bad cellular operators are known for. Enter Red Pocket: a cool, inexpensive way to get big 3 coverage without the hefty price tag. With Red Pocket, you will pay less, while gaining the choice, flexibility and intimate customer experience we all want and deserve. You can keep your phone (or trade up), your number, and coverage. Red Pocket will allow you to use either the AT&T, Verizon or Sprint/T-Mobile networks - and you can switch networks whenever you see the need. By making a cellular switch, families will save hundreds of dollars a year (the average customer saves $600/year!) and will have a more pleasant user experience as they can reach Red Pocket’s customer service team any time. And the best part? eSIMs make the perfect gift - especially for last minute - as they can be delivered instantly, directly to a friend or family member's phone. Buy your friend, child, partner, spouse, or sibling a yearly plan or additional months via eSIM! Who wouldn't enjoy a month, or two, or 12 of free gifted phone coverage!? With plans as low as $5/month - Red Pocket makes Spring gift-giving affordable!

I had a chance to learn more in this interview.

Why was Red Pocket created? Simply put, we wanted to provide cellular consumers with a better option, so, as most things do, it started with questions:the right questions and that was, how can we make this better? Rather than lock customers into long-term commitments where they were frankly paying too much, how can we reimagine this industry?

And the questions never stop for us: how do we provide better rates? How can we improve the experience for our customers where they can feel like they are not just a number? We know that if we continue to ask ourselves the right questions, that we can continue to provide something truly special for our customers.

How does Red Pocket differ from other cell phone companies that aim to be cheaper than the big name giants? In many ways, flexibility in offering monthly or annual plans gives consumers more control of their cellular bill. Having a product that consumers can trust, which is reflected in our 4.5 Trustpilot rating as well as our A+ BBB rating; having unlimited plans that start at $10.00 a month - which include free international calling; an amazing customer service team that seeks daily to meet our customers' needs in a relational and timely manner. The list goes on but again, we never stop asking the right questions daily.

How can Red Pocket keep their prices so low and still provide quality service? We don't have stadiums or racing teams named after us, we don't have to carry the cost of maintaining the networks. Don't misunderstand me, there is nothing wrong with stadiums or racing teams, but by not having to expend money on these and other incredibly large ticket items, we are able to pass that money in savings to our consumers, and provide quality service.
