Christie's Insta-Christmas Crafts: Burlap state ornament.
What you'll need: Burlap, printed state template, Sharpie, white acrylic paint, fabric or hot glue, ribbon.
Directions: trace a state with a marker then cut out the shape in 2 pieces for front and back. Paint the front w/ acrylic paint. Several coats will give you an easier platform when writing your message.
Let it dry or use
a hair dryer. Write message before making a pillow. Then get a small amount of stuffing or batting to create a mini-pillow.
Place front and back together and glue. Then create a hook or insert ribbon like I did to hang on your tree. This was more of a grown-up project however the kids asked to make one for their teachers.
Walmart fabric dept carry burlap or you could possibly find feed bags and do something similar. Feed bags are available at AG stores or salvage stores. The fabric glue does take a while to dry.
