Wilderness Trail Distillery Tour
We enjoyed the Wilderness Trail Distillery Tour. Located in Danville, KY this distillery is in our back yard. It is super casual and an easy to tour to enjoy.
Wilderness Trail Distillery Tour:
The distillery is open for tours six times a day, Tuesday – Saturday at 9, 10 and 11 a.m. and 1, 2 and 3 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase and the cost is only $15. They offer free tours to active military and veterans.
If you do not want to take their hour-long tour, they do offer a sampling. If you have a group of larger than 6 who want to have a guided sampling, please call them at 859-402-8707 to discuss. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to tour time to register. They are closed 12—1 pm for lunch.
Their tour highlights the science behind spirit making through the use of local grains and our signature sweet mash fermentation process. Tastings are offered at the tour’s conclusion. You do recieve a souvenir sh
Tours begin in the visitor’s center and cover fermentation, distillation and a discussion of barrel aging in the barrelhouse. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes for walking to barrelhouse and dress accordingly.
