Swimming with the Pigs in the Bahamas

Have you ever wanted to go Swimming with the Pigs in the Bahamas? It has been on my bucket list forever and I am so happy we were able to cross it off!

Swimming with the Pigs in the Bahamas

If you ever get the opportunity to swim with the pigs in the Bahamas, you must! I not only swam with them, but also fed them, held them, pet them and even kissed them! It was EPIC!

We did this excursion while on a Norwegian Cruise. This excursion took us directly from Coco Key private island via boat to Treasure Island where we swam with the pigs.

I had a little concern because some people said that the pigs were dirty (duh) they are pigs, but we didn’t feel that they were at lot. They continually collected the pig poo from the water/beach and kept it very clean and tidy. They gave us a lot of rules before we went down to the water/beach where the pigs are for our safety but most importantly for the pig’s safety.

I highly suggest that you wear water shoes, a coverup was great to wear in the water because they don’t allow you take your own pictures on the beach, so I liked not just being in my bathing suit. That is just a personal choice for me.

They do accept tips to help provide the pigs apples, which are their favorite treat. All of the pigs were named and interacted well with the visitors and the staff. There were some adorable babies too! All in all, I would give this excursion a 10/10! I highly recommend it!

Once back to the deck platform they did let some of the pigs walk around and you could even take selfies with them. I was so happy as I have always loved pigs, and this was a dream come true for me.

After you are home you can purchase your pictures online. I did and they turned out great! They got the money shots for sure!

I know my Grandpa Charlie was smiling down watching.
