This is for my local PA readers or anyone who is up for a drive! This is a great deal on the Crayola Experience. We have went in the past and we really enjoyed it.
If you haven’t signed up for Living Social, you can sign up here. For $20, get admission for up to four people to The Crayola Experience and $10 off a purchase of $30 or more at the Crayola Store (a $40 value). You can check it out here.
The Crayola Experience explains how the company’s iconic art supplies are made and features more than a dozen interactive exhibits to foster creativity in kids of all ages. Color with melted crayon wax, star in your own personal coloring pages, or draw on a real Dry-E-Race racecar! About an hour north of Philadelphia in Easton, this colorful spot is close to parking and a variety of restaurants so your kids won’t start salivating at sight of the world’s largest crayon. (Thanks, Bucktown Bargains)
This is Evan at the Crayola Factory. He made this snow man out of modeling “clay”. He had a total blast there.
Thanks WeeklyAds2 for the content support.

I”m trying to figure out the expiration….it says paid value expires in 2017 and promotional value expires July 2012…so when do I need to use the vouchers by? If I can’t make it until after July 2012 do I still get the deal?

Thank you for this! We were planning to go this year. You just saved us a chunk of change. :D
Jenny says
Yes! I called “Crayola Experience” and they said it is the same :) They just changed their name!
Sorry for the confusion, I had a friend say she didn’t think it was, and so I worried ;o)
Bonnie says
I think Shannon nailed it. It’s really a giant arts and crafts workshop(they have 3 or 4 stations where the kids will make something), and a canal museum. They do a demonstration on how crayons are made. My 4 year-old enjoyed it when we went for her birthday last year.

Jenny Sensenig – they have a little exhibit inside on how they make the crayons. I think they changed the name so that people wouldn’t expect a real plant

Jenny Sensenig – yeah its the same :)

Woohoo! I live in Easton, now we need to decide who to go with us! And I second The Purple Cow, delicious!
Lauren says
I really miss the purple cow now that I have moved away! Oh how I miss Pearly’s, the Quadrant, Sette Luna, and Colonial Pizza…
For people not familiar with the area, you should stop by the visitor’s center and grab some info. Here’s their website:

There are a lot of other things you can do while in Easton and it would make a great day trip!
Jenny says
When I bought mine it said,
” This is not the real manufacturing plant, but instead a visitor center that allows the child inside each person to unleash its creative spirit. Each quarter, themes and projects change, giving visitors a variety of projects to create throughout the year.”
So I wasn’t sure if it was the same thing?
Jennifer K says
They do not actually make the crayons here, they recently discussed changing the name to the Crayola Experience. There is a tour that shows how they make the crayons but they’re probably just clarifying that it’s not the actual plant.
Lauren says
The factory is actually out in Palmer, the town over from Easton, on Bushkill Drive. They don’t give tours of the actual factory. The offer is for a tour of their store & exhibit in downtown Easton. Its set up really nicely and has a lot of activities. Its a better place for children to be than a factory anyways. Everything is set up to be kid friendly.
Kate says
It looks like It is the same thing! I just went on their website and they are calling it “the crayola exhibit” and not factory! Guess I will find out tomorrow!!!

Jenny Sensenig – Isn’t that the same place?
Rebecca says
Thank you, thank you! My kids love the Crayola Factory! The third floor- National Canal Museum is actually a big draw as well- what kid doesn’t love to play with water??
Jenny says
“For The Mommas” I bought this last night and noticed this morning it said it is not the factory, it’s for exhibits. Do you know if we can use it at the crayola factory for the normal fun play?
Lauren says
This place is great! I went to college at Lafayette College which is located up the hill from The Crayola Experience (within walking distance). If you go, you should take the short drive up to campus and walk around. It is absolutely beautiful in the spring with all the flowers and trees in bloom to compliment the gorgeous buildings.
Also, go grab some ice cream from The Purple Cow. It is only a block from the Crayola place and they make all their own ice cream and cones. So delicious!

Got mine! Thanks!
