Fruitville pike lancaster giant has plenty puffs left.
Ruth says
These gas deals are awesome because of the rising gas prices. I have an advantage because I shop for a lot of people, it is my full time job. I have been able to put gas in my car and my husband’s car for months now.
Jen says
I think the Giant flyers are different in my area. No gas deal here- you can get $3 off instantly if u buy 3 items in that category.
Shannon says
Some stores offer gas deals other instant savings. :)
Jen says
I just finally got my hands on a Giant flyer yesterday. The giant app doesn’t give that info.
Courtney says
Thank goodness for this website! I had no idea I could do the deal more than once. I hope I’m not too late to get some more!
Sorry to get off the subject on the Puffs deal, but you can also get .20/gal if you buy $15 worth of GE lightbulbs. Does anyone know if this would be before or after coupons? I know their deals are usually before coupons but I thought it may be different for this and the ad doesn’t say.
Nicole says
Anybody know if Columbia Ave. or Centerville Giants (Lancaster) are still stocked with tissues? I managed to get 48 boxes on sunday but was hoping to get more today and possibly friday but ive read that some of the giants are out of stock!
Valerie says
You seriously need more then 48 boxes of tissues on hand? No wonder normal people can’t go buy a few boxes of tissues when they need them.
Ruth says
There are a lot of other brands that “normal” people can buy. This is one of the only sites that people can talk freely without being chastised by comments like this one. I hope comments like yours doesn’t become a trend on this site also.
Shannon says
Don’t worry about that ever happened Ruth. I won’t let it.
Shannon says
That should be don’t worry about that ever happening, I won’t let it. As long as it is legitimate usage of coupons, we can talk freely here.
Ruth says
Thanks Shannon, that is the reason this is only site that I use now.
Shannon says
Wow Valerie, Normal people? This deal is especially good and many of the Giants special ordered. I don’t think its necessary to name call or be rude. I like to keep it positive. The store I shop in had 8,000 boxes of tissues on hand for this deal. They knew exactly what to expect for it. Please lets be kind.
Nicole says
In response to Valerie….you cant really go wrong in buying the 48 boxes of tissues. Its like going in to Giant and handing them $60 and them handing me a 96 dollar gas card and 48 boxes of tissues…why wouldnt I do this? Im sorry me buying that many tissues offends you but honestly my husband has a truck that eats alot of gas and I have to fill it up every 4 days for him to get to work so I have to look for ways to save money anywhere I can.
Nicole says
I would also like to say that I did not want to clear the shelf today so I went to 2 different giants to make my purchases of the tissues so I wouldnt upset other shoppers like yourself Valerie.
Joy says
Hey Valerie! This site is for people who are intersted in saving money and getting great deals. If you can’t be supportive please take your rudeness somewhere else. Thank you
Nicole! Please don’t let “NORMAL” people discouage you from posting. I think it’s wonderful that you are a smart shopper. You go girl!!
Jen says
Although I’m a serious couponer (and so I guess not “normal” :)), I can appreciate Valerie’s frustration. In cases where stores aren’t stocked up with 8,000 boxes (like my Martin’s), people have to do a mad rush to the store at 6am on Sunday morning to get in on them. By noon they’re wiped out. That makes it a big bummer for the “average” shopper.
I really understand tight budgets and rising gas prices, but if you do plan to buy large amounts that could clear the shelves or take the majority of the stock, just pre-order so that shoppers who only want to do the deal once still have the opportunity to.
Nicole says
Both the giants I shopped at were fully stocked……I went several times this week and bought large amounts and didn’t come anywhere close to clearing the shelves..as I said earlier I want to leave enough there for others.
Valerie says
I wasn’t being rude, it may have been taken as if I was being rude but maybe it was more out of frustration. Yes I like to save money too, and I coupon when I have time so I’m on these sites as well looking for deals. You have to understand the frustration of those of us who also want to save money but cannot get to the stores at 6am on Sunday. My Sunday newspaper adds are even delivered with my Saturday paper but I don’t always have time to look at them on Saturday. So yes when I make a list and try to get to the store Sunday afternoon or even another day during the week when I have more time and the shelves are cleared it does tend make you a little upset. I agree with Jen’s comment, if you plan on purchasing mass quantities, please pre-order.
Shannon says
Valerie,
Thanks for your explanation. Sometimes over the computer things can come off differently than we want them too – TRUST ME I KNOW, I have been there where I meant one thing and another thing was taken. I do advocate preorders – and many long time/serious couponers have great relationships with their stores.
Nicole says
I understand Valerie..I have also been on that end of getting to a store and something being cleared but its typically cause I waited till the last day of the sale.I would pre order if I felt the need to but my stores are always so fully stocked that I dont need to.And honestly I never ever buy mass quantities like this…but I def would never walk in and buy 48 boxes of tissues if thats all they had. I do feel bad for those of you that have stores that do not keep a large amount of stock.
Heidi says
I bought 6 off the display and only got 20 gas pts. If I take my receipt back, will customer service be able to add 20 more pts on?
Sharon says
They should be able to do that. I’ve had them add points to my card before because I forgot a coupon for gas points, so I think they should do this for you too. It’s odd you only got 20 pts. I did the same thing and got 40, and yes I did it in one transaction.
Aimee says
At my Giant (Lititz, PA), the “shelf-clearers” were kind enough to leave me 3 measly boxes of Puffs. This was at 10:30 am Sunday. When I went to get a raincheck for more, customer service told me a lady had just special-ordered four cases! Doesn’t seem fair that they would only give me a raincheck for SIX BOXES! I could have made a stink about it, but I decided to let it go.
Robin says
Just a heads up… I’m reading that some stores have placed a limit of 12 boxes on the Puffs.
Holly says
Mount Joy (Lancaster) Giant had a limit of 12. They said it was left off the ad.
Paco says
Seems like the two Giants in Central Pa I stopped at today were poised to move a lot of Puffs! One store had a full pallet display in an aisle, and the other dedicated perhaps 8 feet of display space on the wall of values. Plus they were restocking.
You have to wonder how the manufacturer/Giant can do this. Maybe a light flu season=extra inventory for manufacturer=bargain wholesale price for Giant+very aggressive loss leader sale by Giant=money maker possibilty for us deal-smart consumers.
I realize that not everyone does the maximum fill up, but many of us are paying under $4 (including tax) for three boxes of tissues and $6 worth of gas (pumping 30 gallons).
Thanks Shannon for your tireless work on FTM!
Danielle says
I bought 18 boxes of puffs and got $1.20 off a gallon in gas points. For some reason I think I either did something wrong or it isn’t right. Or I must have just been confused on the buy 3 puffs for $3.75 get $6.00 in gas points. Can someone explain! Thanks in advance.
Becky says
Danielle, The deal is buy 3 puffs tissues, get 20 cents off / gallon. You got 18, so that’s doing the “deal” 6 times. So, 6 x 20 cents = $1.20 cents off/ gallon. On FTM, the $6.00 in gas represents 20 cents off a gallon on a tank of 30 gallons = $6.00. Hope it helps!
Kristin L. says
I guess I am not that familiar with the gas points program…
For the Puffs deal, for example, when you say “$6.00 in gas points” does that mean you are assuming you will fill up to 30 gallons?? (I’m assuming 30 gallons is the limit?)
Amanda says
Yep! 30 gallons of gas is the maximum that you can get. But you should calculate your savings on how many gallons of gas YOU plan to get. If you don’t want to mess with taking gas cans with you, then I would calculate your savings based on how many gallons of gas your vehicle’s tank holds.
Kristin L. says
Thanks for the info. I actually asked someone about it today when I was shopping at Martin’s, and apparently here the limit is 20 gallons, not 30. (I’m in Richmond, VA.) Anyway, it’s still a good deal.
Erica says
Some of the Libman products were under $2 so they were free after gas rewards. Libman dish brush $1.91, Libman Heavy Duty Scrubbers, Libman Heavy Duty Scouring Pads, and Libman Steel Scrubbers. Sorry I don’t remember the other prices but they were close to $1.85. Great week at Giant!!!!!
Laura K says
I can confirm that the puffs deal is working this morning. Since we are moving, I’ll be giving the majority of my tissues to my sister, whom is a school teacher, but will enjoy the savings on gas! Thanks Shannon! My “catch a deal” alarm clock had me up at 3am this morning, was so excited for this one.
Carolyn says
Off the tops of your heads, does anyone know when the current gas promo ends? I never really utilized the gas points deals before now and I don’t want them to expire!! I’m up to $2.10!!! woohoo!
thanks in advance!
Carolyn
Erica says
May 5th
Jenny says
current gas deal ends May 5th…
I have to share…I went to get gas the other day – empty tank in van and needed a gas fill-up for lawn tractor…there have been so many great gas deals lately…
SOOO – I filled up my full 30 gallons with my printed receipt stating I SAVED $119.94 and TOTAL COST = $0.00!!!!!
SO exciting:) And I still have $0.40 off/gallon left to use before May 5th, plus whatever I can add to that between now and then…such a good feeling:)
Carolyn says
Thanks Ladies! Greatly appricated!
Steph D.L says
stupid question, but, if you buy more than 3 boxes in one transaction do you get more gas points, or is it necessary to do multiple transactions?
Erica says
Only one transaction necessary unless you love doing more than one for fun.
Shannon says
LOL Erica this made me laugh.
Erica says
I know when I first started I did do them separate bc I wasn’t sure if I would get all the points until a kind cashier told me
Becky says
My Giant says they are ordering 1200
Shannon says
Becky, wonder how long that will last.
Becky says
good thing for rainchecks then lol
Melanie says
I just called my store to see if I could do a special order – no dice. I guess I’ll have to get to Giant bright and early Sunday to beat the shelf clearers! :)
Shannon says
Melanie,
Let us know how you make out!
Jamee says
Praying that Giant doesn’t pull a Weis on us! Feel like a freak only planning on getting 15!
Erica says
I will definately be stocking up on puffs. Maybe I will put in an order now. Never hurts to ask them to order it for you AND they don’t give you as much hassle when buying large quantities.
Mel says
I think I still have tissues from a gas points deal a while ago but these are a great donation item!
jaime taylor says
I send alot of the tissues to school with my daughter!!
Sharon says
Yay! Seems to me there was a deal on Playtex Gloves about this time last year and I bought several pairs. Eventually they all get a hole in them, and I’m just about out. So, this is perfect timing for me! Thanks!
Shannon says
Sharon, I am going to be stocking up on these too. I use about 2 pairs a month!
Cathy says
Is there a limit to these deals? I’m in need of some puffs!
Laura says
Only if the weekly circular states it! If it doesn’t than you’re good :)
Kristin says
SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!
