If you are considering donating food this Christmas season, please take a moment to read this quick note from Ben Miller. Ben is a husband to one of FTM’s long time, regular reader Andrea. He is busy trying to make a difference in his community and hopes you will do the same.
From Ben:
Food banks really need the help and after Thanksgiving, most people tend to forget about them with donations until next Thanksgiving. I know there are probably a lot of people with stockpiles like we have here (Andrea is awesome at couponing) and if people were willing to donate even just 10 or 20 lbs of food to their local food banks/food pantries/soup kitchens… whatever the prefer, it could do so much good. All they have to do to join the challenge is visit the website to decide how and where they want to donate, take the food to their local food bank and then send me an email so I can add them and their donation to the list. It’s a really easy way of helping people at a time of year when so many are forced to go without.
