I agree, Wegman’s store brand products are great, very high quality. Not sure if it is true or not, but I know a woman who used to work there and she said that Wegman’s brand is usually made by the #1 or #2 national brand company for the particular item.
also if you have the .50/1 Carefree coupon from smartsource.com or the 1/9 SS they have the 22 ct pack of Carefree liners for .99 regular price, so free after the coupon! I find they have a lot of random items like tabasco sauce, mustard, hot sauce, etc. that end up being free after coupons even at regular price

I am a regular Wegmans shopper- I find that I can usually get better deals there than at Tops … their produce is a little high, but very good quality, so worth it to me… but I can often get 90% ground beef for 1.99 and really great prices on milk, eggs, and other “everyday” items… I just wish they had a circular, its so such a pain to go on their website and sort through all the sale items every week!!

I am also excited to see wegman’s matchups, I had no idea gain sheets were so cheap there, I just ordered 10 Qs from a clipping service, keep the Wegmans posts coming ! :-)
Monica says
Woo-hoo! Wegmans! Thank you. :-)
Cindy says
I don’t know if this will help you or create too much work for you, but if you register on their website, then go under Shopping – Weekly Flyer – Shopper’s Club Specials, it will show a list of all the sale items which you can then alphabetize. Then if you mouse over (but don’t actually click) on an item, it will show you how long the sale price is in effect. Unfortunately, they have different things running on different sale cycles.
Thank you so much for adding Wegmans to your list of stores. I appreciate all you do!

Cindy,
Thank you so much for the tip! I have to admit I had a misconception about Wegmans. I always thought it was soo much more expensive – but honestly, its NOT and I think manypeople believe this.
Cindy says
@Shannon, They carry a lot of specialty items, some of which are very expensive, which I think is what misleads people. But their sale prices on regular items are comparable to other grocery stores and their store brands are very reasonable and very good quality. One of their best bargains is on their store-brand canned vegetables – certain varieties are always $0.39, which is hard to beat even with coupons on store brands!
Shannon says
@Cindy,
Excellent point. They do have great meats too, and the prices are decent.
Ada says
@Cindy, Yes, there is a misconception about their prices. I shop there for most of my groceries, and their produce is awesome. Their pasta sauce for example is on sale for .99 all the time. If my stockpile is running low, I always get their brand name which is really good.

Wegmans just sent out this week a book of coupons to card holders too. It had some really good ones. Especially for depts you don’t normally get coupons for:
$1.00 off produce, $1.00 off meat, $1.00 of deli, etc. I do find it hard to shop there without a circular too. Plus the store is SOOO overwhelming with the numerous selection. I already take an hour every week to shop in a “smaller” store, I would never get out of Wegmans :-p

LOVE the addition of Wegmans deals to your site. Thank you, thank you!!
Holly says
I am a fairly regular Wegmans shopper and one policy they have that I like is that they honor some of their competitor’s coupon offers. For instance, an area grocery store will sometimes put a $5 off $50 coupon in a local circular and Wegmans will honor that. Another thing that I like is that they will double up to 4 of the same coupon.
Shannon says
This varies from store to store, so just make sure you read up on the store you are shopping at. In PA, there are like 4 different sets of coupon policies for stores that aren’t even that far apart.
Christina says
I keep seeing coupons references from all you magazine. Is this by subscription only because I can’t find it in stores.
Shannon says
@Christina,
Yes either subscription or Walmart.

so excited to see Wegman’s deals! They are pricey for some things, but you can also find some really great bargains. Just a heads up that there is a Wegman’s coupon booklet available (I found it near the pharmacy/health and beauty) with some awesome store coupons – there is $1/1 huggies wipes (combine with a manufacturer’s coupon and you can score some free wipes) and also a $3 Wegman’s brand diapers, which makes them only $3.49 for a jumbo pack. Their diapers are great! Lots of other health and beauty coupons in there too.
Shannon says
@Alison,
Great! I am hoping that you guys can help me along with deals too. I plan on getting there every other week, but it is a little out of my way — so I would love if any of you came across deals if you would share :)
Shannon says
@Debby,
Thanks Debby, I will keep that in mind, I have hooked up with another blogger to get some pricing from the NY stores, but certainly will keep that in mind.
Andrea says
Yea!!! So glad to see Wegmans deals! They don’t have the “Big” sales that the other stores have, but their everyday prices are the lowest of the 3 chains in my town (Weis & Giant).
Shannon says
@Andrea,
I was really surprised when I went this weekend. It is a little more work because they don’t have a circular — so I wont do them every week but I plan on doing it every other week with the new coupons.
Ada says
@Shannon, My store has a circular….I’m in central PA.
Shannon says
@Ada,
well its a 3-4 pager with mostly wegmans brands and it doesn’t include most of the longer term sales — thats probably what I should have said :)
Jen says
So happy that you doing this for Wegmans now! love that store and always miss the good deals! thanks a bunch!
