Is it impossible to work, have children, AND look fashionable while doing it?? NO, not with these four magic tips!

1. Instead of pants, try a skirt. If you’re a working mom and you’re actively losing weight, skirts are a great option. Choose a comfortable fabric, such as matte jersey, and a universally flattering silhouette, such as a straight, to-the-knee skirt. Stretchy fabrics like jersey are great if your weight is fluctuating. And skirts are a lot more comfortable than pants.

2. Instead of a hoodie, try a cardigan. It’s just as easy, just as warm and it looks a lot more polished. The 3/4-sleeve Ballet cardigan always looks great over a dress!

3. Save the cross-trainers for the gym. Ballet flats are a really easy upgrade from the tennis shoe. If you’re a stay-at-home mom who’s on the playground a lot, ballet flats aren’t going to hold up against rain and mud.

Boots are also a good choice because they work equally well at the office or at playgroup. And for rainy days, get a funky rubber boot to tuck your jeans into.

4. Instead of baggy jeans, try a skinny. Hem them right at the ankle and you can wear them with a flat, a heel or tucked into boots. It’s the one silhouette of jean that you can wear with almost any shoe.
