Pre-cut homemade granola bars. I used melted chocolate, chopped dates, cashews, chia seeds, sunflower seeds and natural rolled oats. Hopefully they'll be ready for the kids' lunches tomorrow - if not, their dad and I won't let the bars get lonely!
Then I got a question on how to make them. So here's my answer:
How I made the bars:
I melted the chocolate and poured it in a casserole dish. In a bowl I mixed about 3 cups of the oats, chopped up about 10 dates, 1/2 cup of sunflower seeds, 2 tbsp of chia seeds ( you could do less), 1/4 of cashew halves and stirred. Then I poured the dry ingredients over the chocolate and mixed to cover all of the dry ingredients then smoothed it out in the dish. I placed them in the fridge overnight, however they were ready to cut after about 2 hours in the fridge.
