Frugal Homemade Whole Cranberry Sauce Recipe

If want to make your own whole cranberry sauce check out this easy and quick recipe:

Aldi has whole fresh cranberries for 99 cents this week for one carton 16 ounces (size and quality will vary by store)

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of water

medium saucepan

Directions -

Rince the berries and place them and the other ingredients in the pan on medium to low heat, stirring and warming until the mixture reduces and thickens and the berries burst.

Easy right?

Bonus tips -- two ingredients to add if you have them on hand

1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon ground

1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract or almond extract

Stir while it's on the heat.
