Looking for a fun little craft to make with the kids for Mother's Day? Here's a quick little craft that is sweet, easy and cheap.
My child's kindergarten class made these and they are adorable!
Construction paper corsage (or bouquet) made from your child's handprints.
Yellow (or any color) construction paper
Green construction paper
Pencil
Scissors
Tape
Straws or green pipe cleaner
Ribbon
Straight pins
DIRECTIONS:
1. Trace your child's hand prints onto the construction paper and cut out.
2. Cut three small strips of the green paper (these will be the leaves)
3. For each hand and set of 3 leaves place the straw in the center and roll the hand prints around the stem. Secure with tape.
4. Take a pencil and wrap each petal and leaf around the pencil gently and roll it up (facing out) to create the "opening and curling affect"
5. Wrap a ribbon around the two stems together.
6. Insert a straight pin for pinning
ALTERNATE ENDING -- Use long green pipe cleaners and create a bouquet if you have multiple kids.
