Tomorrow is Heritage Day in Attalla! Starshine Faces artist Kristin will be there for facepainting, glitter tattoos, crazy hair, and we may even bring some henna with us! Designs prices are set at $3, $5, $10, $12, and $15.
There is a $2 parking charge for spectators and admission to the Cruise In is free. Unfortunately, you would have to pay for admission to tour the Battleship.
Do you own a vintage car or truck? Are you a fan of vintage cars & trucks? If you answered yes to either question, you should come out to Battleship Memorial Park this Saturday for the Fallen Heroes Memorial Cruise In. There is a $10 donation to enter your vintage vehicle. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come out for this great event! At 11:00 there will be a vintage airplane flyover and remarks. By attending this event, you will be helping us raise money for the Fallen Heroes Memorial to be built at Battleship Memorial Park. This memorial will be dedicated to the Alabamians who have lost their lives in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

Our 31-miles of nature trails lead to forested streams, hidden waterfalls, historic structures such as old home places and cemeteries, along the banks of the pristine Guntersville Reservoir teaming with waterfowl, and not to mention the dozens of deer and other wildlife that roam our 6,000-acre park. Scarecrows in the Park

The Trailmasters of Opp, Alabama once again present the "Scarecrows in the Park."  This has become an annual event at Frank Jackson State Park and is one of the most popular attractions during the fall harvest season.  The scarecrows are individually sponsored and last year approximately 100 scarecrows were available.   The event begins on October 1 and will run until mid-November.  General admission is $2.00 with seniors allowed for $1.00 admission.
