Winn Dixie looking for folks for 'I'm Beef People' commercial

A Winn-Dixie social media contest will make beef-loving fans the stars of local print and billboard ads.  Here are the details:

To enter, Winn-Dixie fans need to visit

to print out the “I’m Beef People” sign in color or in black and white. Customers take a picture or 15-second video holding the sign while explaining what makes them “Beef People.” Using Twitter or Instagram, customers post the photo or video with the hashtags: #ImBeefPeople and #(customer city). The picture or video may appear on

for judging and a chance to star in an upcoming “Beef People” ad.

One winner in seven regions — Miami/Fort Lauderdale, Tampa/St. Petersburg, Orlando, Jacksonville, New Orleans, Mobile and Birmingham — to appear in local ads.

Winners will be notified approximately two weeks after the entry deadline, or around Oct. 14, through the social media channel by which they submitted their entry.

Winn-Dixie will feature qualifying entries on its website throughout the promotion.

The contest takes place Sept. 6-30.
