Giveaway: The Text Bible

I find it very interesting to read Bibles that have a different perspective or target. I think each time I read through a different set of footnotes, it deepens my understand of and appreciation for different passages.

The TEXT Bible was no different. The book is aimed at students, young adults, and new believers. As a lifelong Christian, there were a lot of features that covered information I already knew, but it was still worthwhile to go over it with my kids, who, at middle school and high school, are new enough in their faith to not have heard a lot of the information, yet mature enough to grasp things more fully. The language was written perfectly for anyone from teens on up - not condescending, but easily understandable by anyone, regardless of their faith experience.

The Bible introduces the TEXT study method: Talk to God; Encounter God and humanity in Scripture; eXamine your heart; Talk to others. The Bible also includes prayer prompts and study tips to help strengthen faith and knowledge about Scripture. Life questions, devotions about God's character, definitions, and explanations of people and events give context for passages, while the Bible also discusses types of writing and following the thread of one topic throughout the Bible.
